Since 2015, Renewanation has been a qualified Scholarship Granting Organization. In 2016, we were privileged to raise $968,000 for this program. We’ve recently been highlighting our growing network of Christian schools we support through the Virginia Education Scholarships Tax Credit program.

Renewanation has been privileged to provide one of our partner schools, Mineral Springs Christian School (MSCS), with tuition support for 18 students this past semester. Dr. Kim Morris (MSCS Administrator) and Jason Gault (Senior Pastor of Mineral Springs Baptist Church) gratefully received the scholarship awards on behalf of these families.

Originally launched in 1989 as an early education center, MSCS now serves families from PreK through 8th grade at their facilities in Vinton, VA. They exist to provide a Christ-centered worldview to as many students as possible. To that end, MSCS will be partnering this fall with Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy to provide high school education to their 9th through 12th-grade students in Moneta, VA.

MSCS’s objective is to provide opportunities for young people to develop into strong Christian leaders who will be able to take their place in our society and to stand for that which is morally and spiritually right. They not only want to teach their students how to make a living but also how to live!
