The ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) has announced the accreditation of Renewanation.
The ECFA is the recognized leader among Christian nonprofit organizations in validating the faithful demonstration of financial accountability, transparency, fundraising, and board governance. Over 2,000 organizations are currently under the accreditation of ECFA, representing over $25 billion in annual revenue. The right to display the ECFA seal is accompanied with the responsibility to faithfully sustain compliance with ECFA standards, validated annually.
By submitting themselves to the scrutiny of ECFA, these nonprofit organizations follow the scriptural principle given in 2 Corinthians 8:21 (NIV): “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.” ECFA applies their Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship to Christ-centered churches and ministries to validate their financial integrity and Christian ethics.
Over the past 18 months, Renewanation has been working with ECFA to provide objective evidence of the efficacy of its organizational policies, financial statements, donor communications, and audit processes. After multiple visits and close scrutiny, ECFA announced on October 11, 2016, their official approval of Renewanation’s application for accreditation.
“Renewanation is honored to gain this accreditation as it provides tangible evidence to our partners and donor community that we are intentional in being faithful stewards of God’s provision and His resources.”
