On October 1-2, Dr. Sonny (Doc) Sherrill and Ron Gordon conducted a Christian school revitalization assessment at Crossroads Christian Academy (CCA) in Circleville, Ohio. A ministry of Crossroads Church, CCA was launched in 2005 and currently enrolls approximately 45 students from kindergarten through 8th grade with 15 additional high school students participating in the GOAL Digital Academy online program. Another 30 students are active in their preschool program, Creation Station. Pastor Wayne Gray, a former police chief, serves as the current director of this unique Christian school that is also classified as an Ohio charter school.
The heart of the school’s leadership team, led by senior pastor Dan Coy, is to both evangelize and disciple the children of the Circleville community and to do so with an academically solid program. The Renewanation assessment team met with multiple stakeholder groups and gained a solid understanding of the potential opportunities the school has to strengthen and grow. Over the next 90 days, the team will shepherd CCA through a tactical action plan before determining the strategic path forward. Upon our departure, the CCA leadership team expressed their excitement on the collaborative journey ahead.
