- Encourage membership of staff and student families
- Participation in marketing projects essential to promotion
Step 2) Head of school, with support from school board, extends formal invitation to RENEWANATION to visit the school and meet with board.
- School submits Affiliate School Information Form.
Step 3) On-site visit to school (school must pay travel expenses)
- Tour school and meet administration, staff and students.
- Meet with school board. Discuss:
- Information on “Affiliate School Information Form”
- Criteria and compatibility
- Mutual expectations
- * Schedule RENEWANATION representative to speak in one or two key churches affiliated with school to share vision. Key leaders of school should be in attendance.
* This is required if the school is directly connected to a local church. Can happen later if the school is not directly connected to any particular church as relationships with area churches are intentionally developed.
Step 4) Votes for affiliation
- School votes to seek affiliation with RENEWANATION.
- School provides RENEWANATION with minutes from the meeting where vote took place.
- RENEWANATION board votes to accept or reject affiliation with school.
- RENEWANATION communicates decision of it’s board to the school.
Step 5) After school becomes an affiliate: (The following goals and action steps taken together.)
- A joint communication announcing new partnership between school and RENEWANATION will be sent out to: parents, alumni, area churches, area Christian schools, businesses the school has dealings with, etc.
- Plan a benefit banquet to promote school within the community and to formally introduce RENEWANATION
- Produce high quality magazine to promote Christian education in the community and raise funds for school and RENEWANATION [Likely done in conjunction with a banquet event]
- Make connections with:
- Community churches through:
- Gathering info on churches represented by student body
- RENEWANATION & school having personal contact with pastors
- Schedule RENEWANATION presentations in local churches
- Schools may also wish to schedule presentations if churches will host them
- Local Christian schools through:
- Meeting and building intentional, mutually beneficial relationships with administrators
- Gathering administrators for fellowship and vision casting together
- Discussing ways local Christian schools can work together to serve each other and the broader community
- Other RENEWANATION affiliate schools and broader constituency
- RENEWANATION will introduce new affiliate to other affiliates
- RENEWANATION will introduce school in newsletter publication to broader constituency
- RENEWANATION will connect web-based inquiries back to local affiliates
- Strengthen parental commitment to Christian education through information and community wide events.
- Lay out long term strategic plan for school’s success focusing on:
- Healthy, ongoing growth
- Assessment to ensure that the RENEWANATION vision, mission and product are being achieved
