Our plan over the next several decades is to greatly decrease the number of students in America who are receiving an atheistic, secular education (currently 50 million plus) and greatly increase the number of students who are receiving a Christian worldview education (currently about 4 – 6 million).
In order for this to happen we must:
- Help parents understand the battle that is raging for the minds of our children. Parents must take full responsibility for what their children are being taught!
- Find ways to remove the tuition barrier so that more kids can attend Christian schools.
- Greatly improve and expand existing Christian worldview schools as well as start new schools in order to handle the millions of new students who will come their way.
- Encourage and bless professional and positive homeschools for parents who feel called in this direction.
- Find creative ways to offer public school students the opportunity to receive Christian worldview training.
To help us accomplish this plan, we are implementing Seven Pillars of Development.
I. Individual Supporters
God is raising up an army of men and women who believe in the vision of RENEWANATION. These men and women are giving their wealth, wisdom and work because they believe that the real hope for America lies in training the next generation with a Christian worldview.
II. Informed and Committed Parents
Parents are the primary guardians of their children (Proverbs 22:6). As more parents better understand the worldview battle that is taking place in our schools and commit to providing their children with a Christian worldview education, we will move closer to fulfilling the mission of RENEWANATION. Long before we are able to fully remove the tuition barrier, parents can place millions of new students in Christian schools or Christian home schools.
III. Affiliate Schools
Schools across America are becoming RENEWANATION affiliates. These schools are committed to promoting a Biblical worldview in their students and community. It is our goal to help these schools maximize their potential, whether they be strong established schools or new start-ups. Affiliate schools, at no cost to them, receive all the benefits of being connected to RENEWANATION.
IV. Churches
The local church is central to our vision. Christian schools are an extension of the evangelism and discipleship efforts of the Church. We are eager to help local churches better understand the need for and power of weekday Christian education. As groups of local churches unite their support – volunteer, student and financial – towards a specific school, the benefits to that school will be significant.
V. Businesses
If tuition is no longer going to be a barrier, Christian businesses will need to get behind the Christian schools in their community. Like churches, businesses can be a great source of revenue for local schools. They can also be centers to mentor and help in the development of student character and work skills. RENEWANATION will work with affiliate schools and their communities to develop strategic business relationships.
VI. Christian Colleges and Universities
RENEWANATION is developing partnerships with Christian colleges and universities in order to serve our affiliates. Some amazing scholarships have been offered and all affiliate graduates are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Beyond the scholarships, we are developing other strategic partnerships with Christian colleges and universities that will greatly benefit everyone in our network.
VII. Legislation
We encourage legislation that is pro-family and pro-school choice. One area of focus is tax credits for tuition to private schools. This focus is finding support in many states, and we believe that it will only continue to grow in the future. States stretch their budget dollars and increase the quality of education when they provide pro-school choice initiatives.
Developing these pillars will establish a firm foundation for building Christian school systems across America where every child, regardless of income, can attend. As more individual supporters, parents, churches, businesses, Christian colleges and universities, and legislators see the great value of K-12 Christian education, the vision of RENEWANATION will become a reality in one city after another and a true revolution in education will take place. As this happens, America will be impacted in a powerful and transformational way.
